Fort Washington Sports Show Jan 19th-23rd

Reminder, the Ft. Washington show is coming up. We need volunteers to man our both and we need you to tye flys and donate them to us for sale at the show. They don't have to be fancy - wooly buggers sell fine and they're simple to tye, so tye up a gross and bring them to the meeting.

November's Guest Speaker

Don't miss this meeting if you're interested in tying realistic flys that catch fish!. November's speaker is Steve Thornton of Lincolnshire, England. A professional advertising photographer by trade, Steve is coming to the US to fish the Catskills and we were able to book him for the Nov. meeting. Oak Orchard River Open For Business:

The N.Y. Orleans County Attorney's  Office has ruled that land owner's Salmon and Bower DO NOT own to the middle of Oak Orchard River. This opens fishing to the general pubic from Waterport Dam downstream. Click 'here' to read the ruling.

PA Fish Commission Winter Stocking

Scotts Run Lake in French Creek State Park, Berks Co. will be stocked Feb. 7th. The winter fish stocking will be in Jan. and Feb. 2005. Check their Website at http://sites.state.pa.us/PA_Exec/Fish_Boat/stockwinterlate.htm  (link stopped working: May 25, 05) for the entire schedule.

Season Opener:

The kick-off meeting for 2004-05 was held Sep. 16th at our new location. About 50 members showed up for the 1st meeting. Chip Swarner was our guest speaker.  Chip showed slides and talked on the fishing tactics and waters or the Pulaski NY area.
