| The trapping season will end this sunday the 23rd with fox , coyote, coon , possum ,skunks and weasels . Beavers will remain open till march 31st . I was going to set some today but I am stilll hacking some and I do not want a relaps plus there is more snow coming in tonight . I wiil try again tomorrow I now have 2 dozen snares ready to deploy as well as a bail of straw for the hay set wich is just hay scatered on the snow surface two traps hidden under the hay and some gland lure placed in the hay between the 2 traps a good frozen ground snow set . The snares are just placed in the foxes runways usualy deer trails . Any way its the last week so I will give it the ole college try plus another warm front is coming in over the weekend and that means Ill get another shot at some coon Iwill concentrate under the bridges as there is probably not alot of snow under them and I have plenty of stakes under them already . |
