Ihave been getting quite a few calls reaguarding the removal of unwanted bach yard critters . One guy was relentless and he is the manager of a golf course in Phillys somerton section . The squeky wheel gets the grease any way he has a fox problem as they are digging in the greens . No doubt they smell the fresh dirt whenever he changes out a hole and they dig it up thiunking something is burried there . Iinformed him that I can not catch these fox in legholders cause the season is closed and it is difficult to catch them in a cage trap but he was persistant so I AM TRYING TO OBLIDGE HIM . I purchased the biggest box trap that the duke co manufactures I camoed it and baited it with my leftover comercial fox bait from last season so far no hits one sprung trap[ and 2 ground hogs the place is also overun with groundhogs but they do not dig up the greens . I also informed him that the foxs have pups now and it takes over 200lbs of meat to raise a litter of fox pups so the parents are hunting 24/7 to meet this quota of meat . This is the reason for the frequent sightings . I also informed him these young fox will disperse come fall usualy around oct thru dec. and no doubt more fox will move in to his ground even if I removed this family of fox .I also am going for my nuscince control operators license this allows to trap nuiscience animals year round and use any means availabel to do so . I had to apply to the Game Comission and that was 25 for the app /exam fee and if I pass the exam it will be 50 more for the liscense . But this will allow me to make a little money and gain permission on more places during the fur season . I alreadsy secured permission for this golf course .
