French Crk was stocked on Mar 2nd so I went there yesterday, along w/a number of other fly fishermen. Shown below are 2 of them @ covered bridge.

Not only were the fishermen out, but also the horse riders, who rode along the stream. Is the brown horse taking a bow?

An 11" brown was caught on a BH Hares Ear.

A 12" Rainbow caught on a Wooly Bugger. Also hooked & lost 3 trout on the retrieve.

Nice ones the joy of winter trout any bwos hatching yet ? How about any beaver cuttings let me know I am temporarly out of comission with the trapping right now but I am on the look out for future spots . You know the big bushkill is open and the bugs should be hatching up there also Mcmichaels might have more hatcching as it a tad lower on the lattitude and thusso maybe a tad warmer wich will promote more bugs . I would say the early stones should be hatching at the least and maybe some bwos as well . Its a mystery to me why the retired guys in the club arent out at least once a week to some of our PA blue ribbon streams some fish well all year long and can be fished on a day trip .

Steve, you make a good point about us retired fishermen getting out more often. In fact, I fish all-year-round (including Winter, as pics show in my postings) & have been out at least once per week for the past 4-5 weeks. However,I fish during the weekdays, leaving the streams open for those who can only fish in the evenings & weekends (as I did when I was working). Retirement is wonderful!!
