Acknowledgements

  

I dedicate this work to my wife Phyllis, who for years has been a fishing widow. I don’t know how she puts up with me. Is it a boy friend coming in on the weekends?  Is she just glad to get rid of me?

Whatever it may be, I do believe she knows somewhere on a mountain trout stream or on one of the big pools on The River is where my sole is. And I thank God she understands and puts up with it.

Also a very special thanks needs to go to a good buddy who without his help and expertise and the push he has given me over the ‘edge’, this book would not have been possible. Thanks Mike.

Last but not least, let me mention, my long time fishing buddy, a master fly fisherman,  fly tier, designer and developer of the Black Flymph, Split Tail and the original Delaware Flymph – Dave Baker. He has since moved away to New Hampshire. I surely miss him and the great fishing times we had over the years. A fishing buddy like you may only come along once in a lifetime.
