Is everyone ready ? I know we are a flyfishing club but we need to put as much effort into our hunting as fishing . I am and hpefully always will be an avid waterfowler I take great pride in my decoys , boat , dogs , guns and all the trappings that go with the sport. I also dop most of my hunting in tidal areas were equipment is realy tested Ive seen grown men reduced to tears when faced with a low tide and darkness being stuck out on the marsh is nothing to me it happens almost every hunt but if you are dressed with the right clothes and have food to eat it can be quite enjoyable also the birds move good on low tide . Anybody that wants to hunt with me must know that I hold this sport most high andI will not turn back only for medical reasons I normaly have shooting every trip that is why I gun the tidelands . As far as upland and archery I DO THESE ALSO but the prep is not as in tense Archery you need to beat the deers nose and shoot straight you will have sucess . Upland you need to walk for miles and have a penchant for long periods between shots and be content with pretty fall faliage . I think I WILL STAY WITH MY WATERFOWL

Hey Schultzie,

I never did any waterfowl hunting but would like to try it with you someday. As for the upland hunting you are correct there is a lot of walking but, you know what? That is what I love about the sport, the walking, the dog work , the scenery, oh yeah and the birds. To me the birds are always on the bottom of my list of things I appreciate about the sport don't get me wrong I definitely respect them, I just love being outside where these wonderful creatures live! You know what else is funny I feel the same way about fishing anymore, it used to be the numbers and size of fish were very important to me but, anymore it is where they live that captures my attention the most!
