Imagine my annoyance when I found a BASS PLUG in the fly fishing only section of the Lil' Lehigh Creek today. It is further proof of illegal fishing & probably poaching also. Tch! Tch!

I caught a 13" rainbow on a brown San Juan worm (it is still in it's mouth). Also hooked & lost 2 trout on a red San Juan worm.
Looks like they stocked a bunch of nice rainbows up there . As far as poaching goes it will always be a problem especialy with foreigners I once chased off a bunch who tried to fish with spinning gear right in the middle of the day no doubt they could not read the signage . Anyway it will go on untill they post a full time warden on the creek in the meantime we can police it ourselves take the perps fishing license number and turn them in it will be youre word against theres and no doubt some court time . By the way this lure probably fell out from a spin guys pouch as there are no trout in the L.L to eat that .
Steve, you're right about the illegal spincasting fishing @ LLC. Several weeks ago @ LLC Heritage Pool (near hatchery) a boy ~ 12 yrs old had a regular rod & reel, a jar of power bait & worms (NOT San Juan worms) & was about to fish in the fly fishing section. I explained the rules to him & he left, disappointed. But quite honestly, I'm tired of policing the LLC, since violations are frequent.
Well I know its a pain but without regular fish wardens patroling we have to do it ourselves . I do not fish the heritage section too much I like the stretch down below the covered bridge nicer water lots of riffel water .
