I GOT MY HANDS ON A NEW REGS BOOK AT CLAYTONS . I tlooks like cronic waste disease has hit pennsy and there are now CWD areas its all listed in the book and fines will be dealt to the noncompliant . O nce again the powers to be wrote these new laws to the college grad type and it is not in laymans terms what has me bewilderd is a civid what the hell is a civid the way the context is I would assume a civid is an animal part so why dont they say animal parts I did not grasduate from bugtsssel high with the clampits but I would like to know what a civid is anyway it does not pertain to me cause I do not hunt in these areas anyway . But on a brighter note they have upped the beaver limits in 5c to 20 when last year it was only 5 also you are now allowed to set 20 traps 10 have to be snares and only 2 can be bodygrippers last year you could only have 20 total in the 40 beaver areas WICH IS 3C THE NE AND NW PARTS OF THE STATE . The fisher areas have been opened up to inlude a few more wmu's . There are some more pheasant opps as well . There was a bioligists writeups about Snowshoe rabbits and otters but not a word about the decline in muskrats . I realy believe the gamecomission is more concerned about the publick image than the concerns of the hunters and trappers of the comonwealth this otter thing is ajoke.wHAT REAaly puts the burr in my shorts is that not `100 yds away in NY THE OTTERS ARE LISTED AS UNLIMITED DURING THERE OPENSEASONS . All the neighboring states have otter seasons but Pennsy thinks they are endangered and so they are protected they are more concerned with fishers which were introduced and bobcats and by the way these two are also unlimited in NY HERE WE CAN ONLY TAKE 1 OF EACH . AND WITH 6.70 APIECE FOR PERMITS IN NY THEY ARE INCLUDED WITH YOURE TRAPPING LICENSE . Despite how far behind P ennsy is I am looking forward to the hunting and trapping this year I hope to capitalize on the beaver in upper bucks now that it is up to 20 per season as opposed to last year when it was only 5 . Also the doe tags have to be sent in july so get youre apps in cause I think alot of hunters from these diseased areas are probably going to hunt elsewere this year .
