I spent yesterday morn out chasing longbeards in bucks county at 2 diffrent gamelands . The wodds were quite with no turkey talk so I hunmted till noon and being I was near Qtown I thought a trip up to the little lehi was in order being my stuff was already on board . After some micky d's I suited up down by the redcovered bridge my usual starting point the water was at a good level and I rigged up with a coupel of my nymph / worm patterns . I covered alot of water before my 1st hook up and it was a dink rainbow nicely colored but small. The next few were all like the rainbow I thought they may be the same fish but the distance between them was too great to be . I fished till about 6 getting a nice brooky about 12" the biggest fish of the outing . I fished up above the Oxford st overpass in the riffel for the end . I wasnt getting any action so I wrapped it up . I was climbing out by those rocks near the evergeen and missed a step down I went and rolled into the creek when the fall ended I was on my back and soaked when I stood up my left pinky was dislocated and bent out at a right degree angel I thought it was a compound fracture but the bone was not poking thru so I did alittle stream side orthopedics and reset it before I had asecond thought There was an audibel crack and the finger was reset not perfectly straight but it saved me a trip to the emergency room plus my hand wsas so numb from the cold water I did not feel athing today it is a tad sore and swollen and out of order but I also did not break anything important like my rod .
No, I don't see that as worthy of the DA, I've taken too many tumbles and it just means you're fishing hard. Not that Birky hasn't done enough stupid $hit to have earned the lifetime achievement DA award, just not from swimming with the fishies.
