OK - I know a bunch of you just took part in the club's first ever Cast & Blast day. I hope you-all had a good time.

But perhaps for next year we should look into Cap'n Jim's. There were some among you that preferred a private game preserve.

He offers pheasant and grouse.

And be sure to click on the EXTRA's link for his Salmon pool. Or just look here:

Life is good! I started out with nothing and I still have half of it left!

Nice place looks like a place we stayed at up in potter county I think it was called cuzin jumpers paridise a real family place . Come to think of it the whole town was related there family tree lokked like a telephone pole . For some it's all about the esstatics and the fall foliage , the fun or comraderie that stuff is great but I need to kill the quary I set out after wether it be pheasants , waterfowl , or possums whatever the game I choose to hunt I will not go unless I am preety sure I am going to have shooting . When I hunt waterfowl it is very seldom I do not get shooting I atribute this to my blind and decoys its all in the prep work and scouting . For small game hunters who crave action I would suggest the preserve hunt if this goes against your ways or your cheap than try finding out were and when they are stocking and go to the places were they stolk the most . I hear the best place in the state is MONTOURSVILLE i KNOW A GUY WITH AN english setter that does very well there check it out .

We used to do something of this sort years ago when we did out own stocking of birds. The difference was that we used about a 50 yard cord so that if we missed the bird would just get its neck broken and we didn't have to pick shot out of the meat.
