The fall stocking of fingerlings was discontinued in 2008 as not being "cost effective". They intend to "experiment" with stocking adult fish in the fall. It seems that this would represent a bad practice in that adult stocked fish would have to compete with the resident holdovers for whatever the natural food supply can support. Unfortunately, this is a step toward a "put-and-take" policy rather than "catch-and-release" which tries to protect the resource and not the fisherman demands to harvest. I think harvesting works just fine in most places but I'm not so sure that it's a good thing for the Tully.
