I purchased a bamboo rod last month from Phil Baldichino a 7/6 for a 5 wt.. The deal came with 2 tips a tube and a free line brand new for 399 its a great rod and I can throw most of the line efortlesly. As to the fish fighting so far the biggest was a 15 inch Brown on a dry fly and it turned it pretty good I love the new rod its great and I didn't break the bank . I F anyone wants to get one of these rods contact Phil at the Kettle Creek Tackle shop in Renovo Pa. He also has others up to under a thousand like 899 . They still had decent water up there 2 weeks ago and I caught some nice brookys over 12 inches and fat on Drys. I have been frequenting Kettle most of the summer cause our streams have been blown out thru July but Kettle was OK and decent temps with lots of easy rising fish and under 70 miles away .
