Some of belong to big churches, some of us belong to small churches, some of us follow family traditions , some of us search for our own way.
Personally, I belong to the Church of the Running Water, membership of one, but I do allow for visiting ministry on special occasions. Sunday started with a my second seasonal visit to the Stillwater Chapel, and after a pleasant walk in I proceeded to wrench my already achy knee with one step into the muck.

I decided to emulate the Apostles in Good Friday and went fishing on the Skippy. There were a few other fisherman but i didn't see anyone other than this reverant soul catch any fish. Hooked 10 and landed 8. Ate 4 for dinner.

The brookie was born again but the brown was always in that stream.

I recall attending the Stilwater Chapel many years ago. The Pickeral brethren were sitting in pews just inside the front door, next to the parking lot and the Brook Trout Novices usually knelt adjacent to the mud bank you refered to. Is this still true, or has the chapel been renovated.
The running water novice looked like a wild native, was he?

This new House of Worship is an amazing place to search your soul and find some inspiration, man I would be there every day if I could. I dragged myself back to the car and in between the cries of anguish a smile grew on my face just thinking about how good this strestch is going to be in a few weeks.

See ya in church, one man to a pew, make the sign of the cross and light a candle on your way out.

The Good Word is posted throughout this sacred place, all blasphemers will be dealt with promptly, hopefully struck down by the Almighty. The
choir was out in full force with the coming of spring, quills were singing, with the stoneflies and caddis coming in for harmony. The congregation remained seated throughout the sermon, but I was able to coax the occasional apostle to the surface with some well placed verses.

The Holy Word was posted for all to see and the signs warning of tresspassing against thy neighbor were cleared as if by divine intervention, or at least by some like minded reverend of the water.

By this point my knee was screaming but I of course ignored it's pleas and dragged myself as far as I dared to go to and entered the tabernacle of the trout.

I got out hoping for some relief but got none so I hobbled the long hobble back to the car and thought about the possibility of a second service , maybe to a new Temple. Driving was painful but my car was not to be denied and we ended up on Cherry Lane in Analomink, yep the Evergreen Cathedral.

I didn't see any of the larger brethren that have been coming to service lately, but the ones that appeared were friendly and hungry.

I spent a coupla hours talking to the natives and floating around, if there is a more godly place, I have yet to find it.

The air temp was cool and the water was perfect, especially for a sore knee.
