Posted - 05/06/2013 : 14:35:59 I was up my camper last week to open it up and do some turkey hunting and trout fishing . I got up there the thursday before last a few days before the club guys came up to Jonas's . I got there about 4 cause I took the free way up 309 and out 78 its only about 12 miles extra but ity saves 9.60 off the tp toll. I usualy open all the windows send out the bump out turn on the water ,gas , electric . Everything was good ecept the water it was like niagra falls under the kitchen sink with water spraying all over . I t was com,ing from the faucet I just installed last year so I had to drive all the way down to mifflin county to learch rv and buy a new faucet 60 bucks .I got that in stalled and everthing was tight and no more niagra falls or waterfront property so I go and light the hot water heater it hissed and sputtered but it was running for about 5 minutes then shut off this went on for about an hour so I had to replace the pilot assembly another trip back to learches and 40 bucks . I waited till saturday after I was done turkey hunting no turkey but I got the part and installed so everything is up and running at camp Birky . The turkey hunting was kind of sucky with not much talking and its always good to be out in the woods but I have a need to kill and that is the best reward . The fishing was pretty good despite the high water with good dryfly action I caught my best fis on mayfly patterns hwendrickson ,quill gordons ,phesant tail flymph . I caught an18" rainbow and a15" brown both on mayfly patterns despite all tthe granoms in the air some times it was tough to breathe with all the bugs .So camp Birky is opened and penns is starting to fish good a great tripbut no turkeys .
