On Sun, Jan 27th, I went to the fly fishing section of the Perkiomen Crk, near Red Hill. Imagine my embarassment when I arrived to find a mostly ice covered stream because I had forgotten that it was NOT a limestone creek. Anyway, a small section below the dam was not frozen (due to overflow turbulance) so I fished there awhile w/out success.

Today I fished the Macungie Rd section of the Little Lehigh & caught a 12" Brook on an olive Czech Nymph. Although I usually see a friend there, I had the stream to myself today!!!
I love Winter fly fishin'.
