Large stones, that's what I like to try when the hatches are thinning out and I spot some empty shucks on the sides of rivers I fish , like say the lehigh. I picked a couple up last sunday and took em onto the desk to see what I could come up with.

PERLA IS THE NAME YELLOW BELLY WITH A BROWN BACK A VERY COMON BUG IN THE SUMMER ESPECIALY IN MARGINAL WATER .In my former life when I fished I often used 2in SIZE#8 1 BLACK 1 BROWN . This is a good way to prospect the water and remember a trouts diet is mostly nymphs fish them deep with a high stick and watch youre line for a sudden twitch or anything that is not the same speed as the current . Good luck .

You know , split mix, the fur mix used to tie splittails.

Nice work! What's "split mix" as in, color: black and split mix

Life is good! I started out with nothing and I still have half of it left!
