Posted - 09/14/2014 : 16:00:46 I am in a midst of relocatingto centre county . I am curently working at the universiy as a janitor in a temp position but chances are I will get hired on full time unlike the factory job this is a better job with more quality people in a nonprofit atmosphere . I worked nonprofit most of my career and found it to be a more hospitabel enviroment . This is step 1 in the relocation process after one realizes that there current living costs are too high to support after a long study and fact finding mission I relize it costs between $2000 to $3000 fo a no frills cost of living wich is bearabel providing one is earning enough which means between 36000 to 50000 per year . The taxes alone are enough to make me sick 4000 a year for a small 900 sq ft rancher with less than a quarter acre lot .Again this all ok providing you have the means and those means/jobs that pay the needed salarys are no longer existing . Do not get me wrong I will always love Abington this is were I have lived since 1968 and I have lots of friends here but since I have lost my job back in 2010 it is impossibel to live here any longer so thats why I headed for the hills . I am living out of my tgrailer and I have found several rental propertys that I can afford until I get on permanet at the University . I will not be attending the monthly meetings but I will try to make the learn to fish days and other weekend stuff I will also always be a loyal member of the MLFT . Anyone who wants to drop in for a stayu will always be welcomed especialy any hot new female members . You all can drop me a line at po box 57 coburn pa or call me at 267 750 9610 . Anyway I have tried to stay on and keep the house but it is futile so I am letting go and srarting a new life up in the Happy Vally . Thanks for The Memorys Birky |

There are currently 3 openings on there jobsearch however there server is down just my luck . Any way I am already working at psu under the agency as a temp assignee till 12/5 for a 17 week assign . I hAVE also found a rental property were I am planning to move when the water gets shut off at the campground around 10/26 . I can still stay until like December 10 or after the doe season ends that's when the bathouse water gets turned off . In the meantime I am trying to get the logistics together as far as the actual move itself Trucks , boxes , helpers , dollys etc . Ichecked uhaul out and they are high I could probably get a better price from the mob so I will probably do a coupel of trips with my truck and a borrowed trailer . Next weekend I am planning a trip back down to sodum and Gamora aka known as Philly to pack up all the loose stuff that I can throw in my truck . If anybody wants to help out as far as moving I shure would appreciate it and I will pay what I can afford but Uhaaul is too high . As far as my home in Abington I am trying to do a short sale and am waiting for papers from the bank I have a tentative intrest a contractor who flips houses . My phone #is still the same and if it changes I will post it up here 267 750 9610 is my #. NOW YOU MAY NOT GET ME CAUSE OF THE RECEPTION BACK IN THE PENNS VALLEY BUT I DO GET TEXT AND CAN TEXT SO EITHER TEXT OR LEAVE A MESSAGE . Ineed a boxtruck ,dollys , a good strong back and a driver to take my truck back to centre county when we move all my stuff plus if someone wants to help me they will need a ride back so another vehicle and driver that's 2 drivers 1boxtruck 2 movers let me know what you want and Ill see if I can afford you . Posted - 09/14/2014 : 18:42:26 Oh no - the beaver in happy happy valley better watch out, Steve is coming!
Steve - best wishes on your relocation and getting settled up there. Yikes! You've been a fixture around the club for as long as I can remember. I for one will certainly miss seeing you around. Your tying skills and knowledge of the waters and bugs and your willingness to share it - well I've appreciated that from you. You always bring a unique 'angle' to the topics of fly tying and fishing. I guess I'll have to make sure I do those Rocketman Coburn trips each year to stay in touch.
On staying in touch - is this your current email address:
stevenbirkenmaier @ yahoo.com
w/o the spaces obviously, just did that to keep the internet spambots from picking up on you
Best regards, Mike
Life is good! I started out with nothing and I still have half of it left! |
