After reading and replying to various threads some may say I am a doomsayer/partypooper . That is not true it is that most fisherman and the general populiceare mostly wishful thinkers and dreamers but after the last few years I call it like it is REAL NOT FICTION . M aybe some of you believed in SantaCluas well into there teens or they still believe thats great and were would we be without dreamers we would probably only have a few diffrent flys to tie and stuff like a whicams fancy or a Silver Doctor would never have been invented . Any weay I am here to set the record straight in saying I believe in facts as to trout streams ans hard scientific data . The most important and above all especialy now in July would be TEKPERATURE ,TEMPERATUIRE, TEMPERATURE and the use of a thermomater between 65 and 70 is the deadly temps for trout and anything above 70 and the fish you play on youre summer leaders will die maybe not in front of you but shortly after release when I say summer leaders I am refering to the 6x,7x 8x tippets often used for the small insects of this time . Any way I have spoke of this till my fingers wore raw on the keyboard and it is the most important thing this time of year a themomater is youre most important piece of equipment now that the summer heat is at full blast remember 65 should be youre cutoff . |

Amen Brother Birky ! Thats why God invented bass and poppers ... so as to pass the time till the air and water temps dip back down to trout healthy levels ... just saying.
