Well now that its deer season I pulled all my land sets coyotes/fox brush valley. I had some water traps set muskrat/mink over there as well I pulled them too. I kept a decent line running along Penns creek with the thought that I could deer hunt till about 9 and then go run the traps . Well since the water season has opened from the 21st I have caught 16 xl muskrats . I have not caught this many skrats since I last trapped back in the 70s . It makes me feel young again slogging thru the marshy areas lokking for furry treasure . The conditions have been wonderful no ice all open water other than the high water its been perfect conditions . I like high water it makes the rats move up small feeder creeks and culverts just big enough to fit a trap its just great . Now if I can start banging some nice mink it would be almost heaven . Born American born a free trapper by God .

And I guess you have satisfied your craving for eating rat by now.
